The Waterfall Way- Oregon

We went for a roadtrip to Oregon while Mum and Elyse were with us. Oregon is a beautiful state. We stayed in a lovely B&B in Hood River - where you can apparently see Mt Hood and Mt Adams if it isn't cloudy! The first day we took the scenic highway which has numerous waterfalls alongside it.

The first is called Horse Tail Falls.Literally beside the road. It was pretty cold here!

This is the famous Multnoma Falls - which is ranks up there as one of the highest waterfalls in the USA. It was stunning!!!

On Saturday our "Indian Summer" arrived - the weather was warm and the sky clear - so we headed over to the Idaho-Montana border to do the trail of the Hiawatha. It is an old railway through the mountains that is now a biking trail. It is really beautiful.
We started with the 2 mile tunnel. It is pitch black, very cold and dripping with muddy water - but so much fun to ride through with a little bouncy flash light and yelling at the top of you lungs!
This was our view for our packed lunch. Phil's aunt Cheryl came with us.

There are also a lot of high trellis bridges that we cross over. Overall such a great experience that we were glad we were able to have.
